Employee Exit Checklist — Computer Access

For security reasons, it is very important that access is removed to all network resources.

    Outlook Email Account

    • Individual account: Individual accounts are automatically removed on the twentieth day of classes each semester if the user has left the University of Kansas.
    • Departmental accounts: Contact Systems Access at (785) 864-0439 or email Theresa Bateson (tbateson@ku.edu) to change the password.
    • Permissions and Delegate Access: All employees who have granted permission or delegate access to the employee that is leaving, must remove their access.

    • Distribution Lists: Contact the administrators of all distribution lists of which the user is a member to be removed from the lists or transfer membership to another employee.

    • SSTS Supported Users:
    • KU Memorial Unions Users:
    • Department of Student Housing Users:
    • Counseling & Psychological Services, Testing Services, and Student Health Services Users:
      • Email lsshelp@ku.edu with employee's KU Online ID and last day of employment.
