In order to change the password to your departmental web page hosted on one of KU's web servers you will need to do it through a telnet/SSH client such as putty or SSH Secure Shell.

Do the following:

1. Open up your telnet/SSH client and enter raven.cc.ku.edu as Host Name or IP Address and click Open
   If your web page is not on raven.cc.ku.edu, replace it with the Host Name of the web server that is hosting your web page. If you do not know, please call Systems Access at (785) 864-0439.

   

2. Log on to the web server account with the current username and password.
   If you do not know the username and password, call Systems Access at (785) 864-0439.
3. Type in passwd and hit enter
4. Type in Old Password and hit enter
5. Type in New Password and hit enter
6. Type in New Password again and hit enter

   

7. Type in exit and hit enter to close your SSH session. Open up your telnet/SSH client again and test it out!
